The Yale-NUS Debate Society is proud to announce the launch of the 1st Yale-NUS Pro-Ams. The Yale-NUS Pro-Ams is a British Parliamentary-format tournament where a global pool of experienced and novice debaters will not only debate with, but also learn from each other. The Yale-NUS Pro-Ams will take place on 5-6 September, 2020, over the platforms Zoom, Discord, and Telegram.

We believe in building high-quality tournaments that connect debaters from all over the world. This tournament, like its predecessor Yale-NUS Easters 2019, is also part of our continued effort at generating valuable opportunities for new debaters and supporting older debaters with giving back to the community.

This tournament, as an international, online tournament, is also an accessible way for debaters to step beyond their circuits and learn new tricks while seeing the world through new perspectives. All of this discourse will take place under the watch of our 5-member dynamic, diverse, and experienced adjudication core. Today, we are also revealing Mikko Vitug, who last week completed as a Semifinalist at the 2020 Australs (on top of his WUDC quarterfinalist and UADC champion credentials), as our first adjcore member.

The registration fee is SGD 60. More information on registration, payment process, and what makes this tournament special will be revealed in the coming weeks.

We are now looking for Independent Adjudicators. To sign up, click here.
